German fabrics
Unfortunately, the tradition of producing fabrics in Germany has increasingly fallen into oblivion.
The production of woollen fabrics no longer has any economic significance in Germany, and sheep are only shorn because shearing is an essential part of caring for the animals.
MoselTweed is a pilot project for circular economy. For example, the heavily soiled parts of the fleece (e.g. on the feet) were used to produce sheep's wool pellets for fertilisation.
The fabric is only available in very limited quantities and in just three designs.
