Karlotta Pink – Fabrics from Around the World was founded by Ines Weizenegger in Switzerland and operated with the support of her partners in Germany.

Since 2013, the geographer has been passionately searching for fabrics from all over the world. She lives a down-to-earth life with her family in the Swiss mountains. “I love the mountains, winter and country life, but I also enjoy travelling as an explorer, observer and entrepreneur, with the mission of bringing wonderful and unique fabrics from around the world into your homes. The colourful fabric parcels and bolts from India, Africa, Australia and Japan add a touch of chaos and exotic charm to our home.”

In 2020, the colourful and unique fabrics of Karlotta Pink – Fabrics from Around the World found a new home in the Odenwald region of Hesse. In 2022, Kerstin Kroth took over Karlotta Pink – Fabrics from Around the World completely from Ines Weizenegger. She had already been helping at trade fairs and in the fabric warehouse from time to time since 2016, and later managed the entire shipping process and fabric markets on her own.

2025 marked another year of change: the entire website, the heart of Karlotta Pink, had to be rebuilt from the ground up for technical reasons. However, the philosophy behind Karlotta Pink – Fabrics from Around the World has remained the same: Every fabric tells a story... These stories are not only about the cultures and traditions of different countries, but also about the people who make these fabrics and thereby preserve those cultures and traditions. We want to meet these people as equals and with respect by recognising and valuing their work. Fair. Socially responsible. Unique.
