Karlotta Pink – Fabrics from Around the World
Produced fairly and sustainably, our fabrics tell stories about the culture and sophisticated craftsmanship of their country of origin. We source our natural fabrics, mainly cotton and silk, almost exclusively from local producers in the respective countries, with whom we work closely. This is what makes Karlotta Pink fabrics so authentic and extraordinary. Sustainability and social responsibility are especially important to us. We treat our partners as equals and with respect. By purchasing from our fabric shop, you also support the local producers.

Sustainable Fabrics Don’t Always Have to Be Organic & Fairtrade-Certified
While browsing our fabric shop, you may notice that many of our fabrics do not carry certifications such as the Fairtrade label or are not declared as organic fabrics. This is because many of our partners simply cannot afford these certifications, even though they would meet the required criteria.
Through our fair partnerships, we support sustainable development and provide long-term assistance to families working in the textile sector – even without organic or Fairtrade certification. It is important to us that working with Karlotta Pink is financially worthwhile for the producers and that the benefits of their work reach the local people directly, without unnecessary intermediaries.
Every Fabric Tells a Story...
Fabrics have played an important role in human history for a very long time, running like a common thread through the centuries. Even today, the material, production methods and colours reflect cultural background, social status, prosperity and much more. Fabrics were already traded in ancient times, and the clothing made from them was influenced by fashion even then. “Clothes make the person” – almost everywhere in the world. It is therefore hardly surprising that individual fabrics also have stories to tell: about the people who make them, the patterns they feature and the traditions surrounding them.
